An 18 year old man has faced court this week, after allegedly breaking into a house and stealing purse from a car in Whyalla.
Police were called to a property on Benier Street just after 9am on Sunday, following reports of an intruder breaking in through a window.
It’s further alleged the intruder left without stealing any items.
Police were then called to McDouall Stuart Avenue just after 10am, after a person was reported rummaging through a parked car and stealing a purse.
CCTV footage from both crimes was used in the investigations, with a Whyalla Stuart man located and arrested soon after.
He’s been charged with serious criminal trespass, illegal interference and theft.
He was refused police bail and fronted the Whyalla Magistrates Court on Monday.
