As we head into warm weather, the Port Lincoln State Emergency Service are warning residents to ensure their boats are up to scratch and carrying all required safety equipment on board.
This comes after the SES rescued a broken down vessel near Squeaky Beach Boston Island on Saturday, 9 September.
The request for assistance coincidentally came directly after a marine search and rescue training just outside Boston Bay.
