Healthcare services in Ceduna are set for a short interruption, as the town’s current family medical practice transitions to new ownership.
The clinic closed on Thursday afternoon to allow for the handover and minor upgrades, before reopening on Monday as a privately run practice at the same location.
Two local GPs, Dr Weragoda (AJ) Senevirathna and Dr Barbara Butler, will lead the new service, with officials stressing continuity of care as a key priority throughout the change.
Patients are expected to return to the clinic early next week, following the short shutdown to complete the transition.
The move is aimed at maintaining ongoing access to healthcare in Ceduna, with the incoming doctors set to continue providing services to the local community.
