A new trial aimed at improving access for older residents is underway in Kimba.
Two senior parking bays have been installed outside the local IGA, designed to make it easier and more convenient for older locals to access essential services.
Unlike disability parking, the bays are not legally enforceable and instead rely on a courtesy system, with drivers encouraged to use them respectfully.
The Kimba Council said the initiative is currently being tested, with feedback from the community to help determine its success.
The trial is part of a broader effort to improve accessibility in the town, with council keen to see whether the spaces make a meaningful difference for older residents.
