James Gunn has revealed the first official poster for Supergirl, the next film coming out in the new DC universe. The poster has likely been dropped so early is possibly due to the fact that Supergirl herself makes a brief appearance in the newest Superman movie that released last week.
Supergirl this time will be played by Milly Alcock, from House of the Dragon fame. Alcock will be the next actress to play Kara Zor El in a live action Supergirl property since the CW’s Supergirl which starred Melissa Benoist in the red boots and cape. You can check out the poster below.
The film is set be based off the DC comic book Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which see’s a PTSD ridden Kara travelling from planet to planet, getting drunk, and attempting to try and forget about all that she’d seen when Krypton was destroyed as she struggles to adjust to life without her home.
The Supergirl film is set to release on June 26th, 2026, and is set to star Milly Alcock, eve Ridley, Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, Alice Hewkin, and Jason Mamoa is set to return to DC but not as Aquaman, but instead as Lobo.
