Naughty Dog has just released a free update for The Last of Us Part II Remastered, available now for PlayStation 5 and PC players via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This exciting update introduces a brand-new way to experience the story, Chronological Mode.

With Chronological Mode, players can relive the gripping narrative of The Last of Us Part II in a completely new way, playing the story in chronological order. This mode provides deeper insights into the characters and their journeys, like Ellie learning to play the guitar after receiving it as a gift. Fans will also see the fascinating parallels and near-misses between Ellie and Abby as their paths crisscross through Seattle, revealing how their actions influence each other.

To make this new mode even more rewarding, players who complete the narrative in Chronological Mode can unlock two exclusive skins: Joel as Nathan Drake and Tommy as Sam Drake. These iconic skins are usable in No Return, Part II Remastered’s intense roguelike survival mode. Additionally, new trophies are tied to completing the story in this transformative mode.
