Respek! Sacha Baron Cohen is bringing Ali G back to the big screen, more than two decades after the character first became a pop culture phenomenon.
The first trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I? has landed, giving fans their first proper look at the long-awaited return of the wannabe gangster from West Staines.
And yep, he still has the tracksuit, the attitude and absolutely no idea what he’s talking about.
Ali G Is Back
The new movie picks up with Ali G after years of “chillin’, tokin’ and bonin’”, when he discovers his girlfriend Julie is eight months pregnant.
Suddenly faced with the prospect of becoming a dad, Ali decides it’s time to get his life together and heads to America to reclaim his former glory.
Naturally, things don’t exactly go to plan.
The trailer promises plenty of the outrageous stunts, awkward encounters and unsuspecting members of the public that made Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy characters famous.
And if the trailer is anything to go by, Ali G hasn’t exactly matured with age.

A Big Comeback
Ali G first appeared back in 1998 before getting his own series, Da Ali G Show, and starring in Ali G Indahouse in 2002.
This time around, Cohen is not only back in the famous tracksuit, but is also making his feature film directorial debut.
Ali G: Who Iz I? is set to hit cinemas on October 23, 2026.
So if you’ve been waiting more than 20 years for another dose of Ali G…
Booyakasha!
