NAIDOC Week 2020 Postponed

NAIDOC Week 2020

The National NAIDOC Committee has decided to postpone NAIDOC Week 2020 in the interest of safety for elders and those in our communities with chronic health issues from the disastrous impacts of COVID19.

The decision followed advice from the Federal Government, health experts, our key partners and from leading national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations.

The delay, from the originally slated July 5th start, will now see NAIDOC week celebrations kick off from November 8th and run until November 15th.

The reactivation of the currently closed 2020 NAIDOC Local Grants round is set to be announced in the coming weeks by the Committee.
