Eyre Peninsula are being encouraged to take part in Dry July and help raise funds for people affected by cancer.

As part of efforts to get more people on board this year, Aussies can elect to have a 'Dry-ish July' and choose to go alcohol-free for just some of the month.

It comes as a new survey shows 82% of Aussies believe they'd benefit from less alcohol in their lives with 61% admitting to being 'sober-curious'.

Katie Evans from the Dry July Foundation says whether you give up the booze for a few days or the whole month, you'll be helping yourself and Aussies in need.
