A report has uncovered the profound impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on young Australians, especially those living in regional and rural areas.
Among the findings, Australians aged 13 to 17 feel their ability to cope well with life has almost halved from 81% to 45% since the pandemic response was introduced in March.
A quarter of young Australians also believe they haven't been afforded the same importance as other groups in the community.
Program and Advocacy Manager with UNICEF Australia, Juliet Attenborough, says the pandemic is on top of a number of other challenges young people have faced recently.
