Three drive-through Covid-19 testing clinics have opened up on the Eyre Peninsula including Port Lincoln, Ceduna and Whyalla.
SA Health have also instigated home-based testing for people living outside of those communities and remotely.
Eyre and Far North Local Health Network Chief Executive Officer, Verity Paterson says they’re only testing people with symptoms, those that have travelled either oversea or interstate and people who have come in close contact with a confirmed case.
Paterson says the number of tests have been really low this far but it’s important for locals to follow SA Health advice.
“The numbers are really low which is good on one level and what that means is that we have some time up our sleeves and because of that the other key message I want to give, Make sure if you can please stay at home so we can stop this virus in its tracks.” said Paterson.
