A man has been rescued after getting scooped off the rocks while swimming in a rock pool near Fisheries Bay.
About 5.20 pm, yesterday afternoon, police and emergency services were called to Whalers Way, after reports a man was struggling to swim after being washed into the water by a wave.
Volunteers from Marine Safety and commercial fishing vessels assisted in the rescue.
Just before 6.20 pm, the 24-year-old from the Eyre Peninsula was located and brought to shore by a commercial fishing boat. He was uninjured but was taken to hospital for observation.
