The Marshall Liberal Government is fixing over 1,000 kilometres of regional roads which will boost jobs, build stronger regional communities and help save lives on country roads.
The regional road treatments across South Australia’s will take place over the next few years with the Eyre Peninsula expected to several upgrades following the rail closure.
The Lincoln Highway will see shoulder sealing and overtaking lanes along with road widening.
These regional road upgrades are in addition to the existing road packages which include;
$270 million Roads works on the Eyre Highway and other Eyre Peninsula roads.
Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government Stephan Knoll said in the last State Budget it was announced more than $1.115 billion would be allocated to regional roads and infrastructure upgrades and projects which we are now seeing come to life.
