A man has been lucky to escape serious injuring following a car crash while under the influence near Iron Knob, while another man in Port Lincoln lost his license for drink driving over the weekend.

A man has been lucky to escape serious injuring following a car crash while under the influence near Iron Knob, Whyalla.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, Police patrols noticed a Mitsubishi crashed into an embankment.

No one was injured during the incident however the driver a 27-year-old man returned a positive breath test of 0.0158 and lost his license on the spot for 12 months and was reported for aggravated driving without due care.

A 62-year-old man has also lost his license for 6 months in Port Lincoln after he was stopped on king streets Saturday night.

The man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.110.

His car was impounded for 28 day and will appear in court at a later day.
