Port Lincoln to Join Global Climate Strike Today

Local students and workers will rally on the Port Lincoln foreshore today as part of a Global Climate Strike.

The youth-led demonstrations are being backed by more than 1,600 Australian businesses who are allowing their staff time off work to attend the rally.

The 'Not Business as Usual' alliance includes companies like Future Super and CEO, Simon Sheikh says, we can no longer ignore the threat of climate change.

“Millions of people across every continent on earth today will strike for the climate, not just students but adults as well, the very first images of today global climate marches will come out of Australia-that’s why it’s so important that Australians step up and show up today!” said Shake.
