After ongoing renovations over the past two years, the Port Lincoln RSPCA now have dogs facilitates at their shelter to cater for dog adoptions.
The shelter moved to their new location in 2017 and since have slowly been working on building space for dogs to occupy.
Fencing and an open space area has now been built in the back of the block which will now allow the animal shelter to have up to 6 dogs maximum living at their shelter.
Through the Work for the Dole program, the RSPCA was able to provide work for local job seekers and also help fund the project along with generous donations from the local community.
Jodi Cox from the RSPCA says they now have their very first dog at the shelter up for adoption, from the Lonsdale shelter in Adelaide.
Borris is an energetic 3-month-old Bull Terrier x, looking for his forever home that will give him lots of love and cuddles.
Having the new facilities will mean locals will now be able to adopt a dog locally, from here in Port Lincoln.
Anyone interested in looking to adopt any cats or dogs can contact the Port Lincoln RSPCA shelter.
