Kimba Take Pride in Cleaning up Township

The Kimba community are being invited to join organisers in a day of cleaning up their township next Sunday the 29th September from 10:30 am.

The Kimba community are being invited to join the Kimba Community Development Group, LIONS and District Council for a Kimba Clean-up Day.

The local organisations will be cleaning up the township on the 29th September from 10:30 am in preparation for the Kimba Art Prize Museum Opening day.

Event organiser Heather Baldock says everyone is welcome to come along and join in on the clean-up.

Attendees will meet at the council depo and will start at each entrance of the town and work their way in.

“In an hour and a half with 2 or 3 dozen people, it’s amazing how much we can collect and how great the place looks after.

“Many hands make light work! And it’s a great way to be proud of our community and show it off because we do have the Kimba Art Prize Gala evening happening on October 11th then the Art Prize Exhibition.” said Healther.

Locals are asked to bring their own gloves and water bottles.

Council will provide rubbish bags.
