Today is national ARE YOU OK day encouraging locals to connect and start a conversation with someone who may be struggling mentally and with life in general.
Organised by Lincoln Alive, local businesses Rouge and Rascal and Cruisers Hub will be offering locals to take a seat at a “tech free” chat table.
The tech-free table initiates people to stop, chat and listen with love and ask one another are you ok.
Are you ok is a suicide prevention charity that aims to start life-changing conversations.
Eloise from the Rogue and Rascal says they’ve had a few locals come in and want to donate coffee vouchers for people in the community to take part in and for those moments of reflection when we think about ARE YOU OK Day.
The café have not only allocated some spare tables for people to sit down and have a chat, they have also decided to match those donations dollar for dollar.
Anyone who is struggling with mental health is encouraged to reach out for help and utilise helplines that are available.
