The state government has got the ball rolling for the Eyre Peninsula road upgrades with the initial Corridor Analysis almost complete.
Since the funding announcement, the State government has discussed with local councils and the EPLGA about the local road network and has provided valuable information for the stage 1 corridor analysis.
The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is currently finalising its network assessments, to identify infrastructure deficiencies and opportunities for road improvements.
Member for Flinders Peter Treloar says “As the local member, he intends to continue to feed into the Minister and DPTI specific areas of the Lower Eyre road network that are of particular concern to residents, along with their ideas they feel could help to improve our road network.”
The ROSI works package is in addition to investments already made in recent years and those committed in 2019-20 to reseal roads, as well as for road safety improvements, including shoulder sealing, curve widening and rest area upgrades on various EP roads.
