A new report shows cloud technology has delivered a total of $9.4 billion in productivity benefits to the Australian economy.
It follows recent figures from the ABS showing businesses in regional and rural Australia are among those to embrace the technology.
Among those, the agriculture and fishing sector (25%), as well as the mining industry (53%).
Andrew Boyd from Amazon Web Services says it's helping a range of businesses to be more efficient and serve their customers more effectively.
“Cloud technology brings enormous benefits to businesses and consumers in regional areas, it opens up new markets for small businesses where ever they live and want and they can go global within minutes.
“And for regional Australians, it means new and more convenient ways to access produces services and create an even better customer experience.” said Mr. Boyd.
