Local Beer Garden Brewing has been awarded a handful of significant awards for their outstanding beer at the prestigious Australian International Beer Awards held in Melbourne.
The Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) is the largest annual beer event that includes both draught and packaged beer with over 2600 entries.
The Beer Garden Brewing Walked away with a total of 5 awards including four silver and 1 gold.
The Eyre Peninsula Brewing won gold, for best reduced/Low alcohol beer - Salty Session
Other awards included:
Best Australian Style Pale Ale – for their EPA
Best Porter - Captain Porter
Best Specialty Beer - Original Sin Coffee Stout
Best Design (Packaging) - Angasi Oyster Stout
Co-owner and Brewer Mark Butterworth says they have been really excited and it’s been really nice to get this kind of recognition for the efforts they’ve put in.
“You know coming out and winning a gold and being amongst your bigger brews like your Balters, Pirate Life and Young Henry’s and so on is really good recognition, and I hope people on the Eyre peninsula start to understand what we’ve got and what we’ve created because what we’ve created is essentially world class.” said Mark.
