Tomorrow local communities across the Eyre Peninsula will commemorate Anzac Day remembering those who fought for us and we will also think about those who are still fighting for our freedom and rights.
On April 25th 1916, ANZAC Day was commemorated for the first time. It's held in remembrance of the heroic Australian & New Zealand troops who landed at Gallipoli on this day in 1915.
Tomorrow, local residents will gather to honour the nation’s veterans, servicemen and servicewomen at ANZAC Day services around the region.
Services will be held in Port Lincoln at 6.10am at the ANZAC Memorial Eyre Park, Cummins- Yeelanna at 7.30 am at the Memorial, RSL Garden of Remembrance, Kimba at 9.45am at the Kimba Memorial Cross Gardens, Cleve at 6.30am at the Cleve Memorial, Arno Bay at 11 am at the Arno Bay Memorial Hall, Streaky Bay at 6.45 am at the town jetty and in Tumby Bay at 6.15am opposite the Sea Breeze Hotel.
