New Program to Encourage Locals to seek Anxiety help

A new project is underway to assist Eyre Peninsula residents who are living with anxiety to get help sooner, following a study that revealed Australians aren’t accessing help when they need it.  

It comes as a new survey reveals Australians are drastically underestimating the time it takes someone with an anxiety disorder to seek and receive help.

Doctor Jeannie Yoo from NPS MedicineWise says they've launched a new program in an effort to raise awareness and ensure locals get the help they need.

Anxiety disordered are the most common mental health disorder with 14% Aussies ages 16-85 affected we need to increase awareness about anxiety disorders and about the fact that affective treatments are available so that people can take the steps to seek the right kind of help.
