Eyre Peninsula Receives $3.2 Million

Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Hon Michael McCormack, announced the Eyre Peninsula has received more than $3.2 million dollars that will see funding for four projects.

The funding comes under round three of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF).

The District Council of Franklin Harbour was successful in their application to receive $3,000,000 that will go towards the almost $6 and a half million dollar $6,471,300 Healthy Oysters, Healthy Tourism and Cowell Foreshore project.

The Cummins Agricultural Horticultural Society Inc also received almost $40,000 $38,555 to go towards a $51,406 refurbishment of the main pavilion for the Cummins Show.

Centacare Catholic Country SA received $97,045 for its Fields of Strength – Building foundations for rural suicide safety project.

And Gawler Business Development Group Inc. was also successful in attracting $53,334 towards its $80,000 ProfitSURGE - Building Better Regional Business and Communities project to be delivered in Port Lincoln.

Round Three received a total of 915 applications under both streams.
