Regional Development and other organisations, have analysed key coastal locations and are working to improve the Eyre Peninsula’s visitor economy and protect the regions pristine environment.

Through the Eyre on Eyre Project, they’re taking action to make improvements that will benefit not only locals in the region but also visitors.

Their next step is to communicate with local communities to hear their thoughts and ideas.

Locals can either fill out a survey that will be open to the public as of February 18th or attend one of the 9 community consultations meetings.

Meetings will be held at; Whyalla, Cowell, Arno Bay, Tumby Bay, Port Lincoln, Wangary, Elliston, Streaky Bay and  Minnipa.

The gatherings will allow members from all corners of the Eyre Peninsula to come along and have their say on the first funded initiative of redeveloping the regions coastal assets.

Each meeting will focus on the coastal camping locations closest to the particular district;

The Tumby Bay session will focus on the Lipson Cove campground.

The Port Lincoln session will focus on the Fishery Bay and Farm Beach campgrounds.

The Wangary session will focus on the Fishery Bay and Farm Beach campgrounds.

The Whyalla session will focus on the Fitzgerald Bay campground.

The Cowell session will focus on the Point Gibbon campground.

The Arno Bay session will focus on the Redbanks campground.

The Elliston session will focus on the Sheringa and Walker's Rocks campgrounds.

The Streaky Bay session will focus on the Tractor Beach campground.
