Those intending on putting their hats in the ring for a position on Council at the upcoming Local Government elections are invited to attend a workshop in Port Lincoln next month.
The South Australian Local Government Association will be hosting a series of workshop sessions in the lead up to the elections titled ‘Make a Difference – Nominate for Council’.
The session will cover topics such as the role and functions of a council, the role of an elected member, legal responsibilities and eligibility and the process of nomination.
The Port Lincoln session will be held at the City of Port Lincoln Council chambers on August 8th from 6pm.
Those interested in attending the session can register online via the LGA South Australia website.
