The City of Port Lincoln Council has confirmed it will defer the completion of the Table Tennis Association Car Park until next financial year, as it looks to lock away its annual business plan and budget for the coming year.
The Coronation Place car park is the only unfinished car park in the Ravendale precinct with the Port Lincoln Table Tennis Association (PLTTA) contributing over $30,000 worth of funds to the $100,000 project.
The Table Tennis Association sent a delegation to a Council meeting in early May to discuss the project following a recommendation to council from staff that the project not receive funding.
PLTTA public officer Sally Kunze said that the Association is satisfied with the outcome of the negotiations with Council who will take over the project from this point.
The project is expected to be completed during the second half of 2019.
