Port Lincoln’s newest restaurant ‘The Line and Label’ has been awarded its first ‘Chef Hat’ by the Australian Good Food Guide of 2018.
The restaurant kicked of the New Year with a good start opening on 1st December 2017 and after only 15 days of trading the restaurant received its first award for its exceptional food and dining experience.
The Line and Label is one of only 408 restaurants in Australia to receive the Good Food Guide Chef Hat.
Executive Chef Josh Harris said “This award is a credit to the staff who have worked extremely hard to create and serve the most delicious local produce, on every plate for locals and visitors to enjoy. I am absolutely thrilled that our food is seen to be up there with the best in Australia. It’s simply overwhelming.”
Only four restaurants across Australia over the past ten years have been awarded a Chef Hat within two months of trading.
The Australian Good Food Guide 2018 Public Relations Manager Mr Qian said “It is with great delight that we can recognise and award The Line and Label with a 13 Chef Hat for 2018. Achieving a hat within five weeks is a rarity, as most restaurants need to do their time before gaining a hat. This only goes to show how impressed our judges were by their dining experience.”
