Unlicensed Youth Arrested For Riding Motorbike In Port Lincoln

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after he was caught allegedly riding a motorcycle on Port Lincoln streets last Friday. 

At around 11am last Friday a grey GMX 200cc stealth motorcycle was seen to be doing wheelies along Brougham Place at Port Lincoln.

Police patrols located the bike and rider on Verran Terrace and arrested a 15-year-old male youth from Port Lincoln for riding unlicensed and riding an unregistered and uninsured motorcycle. 

The motorcycle has been impounded for 28 days and the boy will face the Port Lincoln youth court to answer the charges.

 

A West Coast driver who was already disqualified from driving was arrested for drink driving last Friday. 

The Yalata man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.119 when pulled over on the Eyre Highway at Penong on Friday night. 

Police stopped the vehicle about 8.30pm on Friday on Eyre Highway for a mobile driver test. 

The 29-year-old Yalata man was reported on a host of driving related charges. 

He was issued with a six-month loss of licence, his car has been clamped for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
