Local Parks and Heritage Sites To Be Opened Up For Development

Lincoln National Park

The state government has announced that some of South Australia’s national parks, gardens and heritage sites will be open to development of nature-based tourism ventures.

A total of 18 unique sites have been identified for such developments. The government is inviting proposals for business opportunities such as eco-sensitive accommodation, adventure tours, cafés, cellar doors or guided walks.

Suggested opportunities include operating a remote island adventure on Neptune Islands and developing an eco-lodge in the Lincoln National Park.

Expressions of interest will close on 31 January 2018 and more information regarding the plan is available via the governments Environment SA website.
