Security guards will return to the Whyalla Secondary College next term, after it was rocked by violence two months ago.
The guards were employed at the school following a viral video which emerged of a violent incident on the campus, which resulted in the arrest of a 15 year-old and left a 16 year-old in hospital.
The Department of Education says there had been no further incidents at the school since security guards were deployed.
Education Minister, Blair Boyer, says the alleged offender was not currently attending classes while the matter is before the courts.
Mr Boyer has also announced he and the Commissioner for Children and Young People, Helen Connolly, have scheduled a visit to WSC in the coming weeks, to assess the school’s support needs.
