Eyre Peninsula groups have been successful in the inaugural SA Power Networks 2022 Community Grants round.
Over 120 community groups applied for grants, which focused on keeping the community safe, supporting a sustainable SA, supporting innovation for future growth and the local community.
In the round, the Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Tourism received funding for Christmas and New Year's Activities, helping the association with events celebrating the festive season.
The Mangalo War Memorial Community Centre on the Eastern Eyre Peninsula received money to install a remote weather station, helping to accurately measure weather conditions to ensure the community ceases harvesting activities when conditions are too dangerous.
The Wudinna and Districts Road Safety Committee will upgrade their community road safety trailer with their grant money, to ensure road safety reminders are delivered to a broad range of people travelling to and through the district.
