The Kalamazoo's are planned to return to Cummins rails in April 2023, but there's still a call for helpers to fill a number of positions.
Kalamazoos are hand pump rail cars workers used to move along the tracks instead of a train, with a race day held in the town until the mid-2000's due to a lack of volunteers and regular train movements.
Volunteers are needed in several roles, including administration, publicity, catering and as part of the race gang, with the 2023 event set to be cancelled if they don't receive interest from the community this month.
Another meeting to discuss the event is being held tonight from 6pm at the Cummins Hotel.
