Rex Airlines have announced an increase in Friday services in Port Lincoln, as part of an expansion of services in a number of towns across Australia.
On the Adelaide to Port Lincoln route, Rex operates up to 7 return flights per weekday, with Friday now increased to 8 starting July 4th.
The increase comes as Rex pilots voted on strike action yesterday via the Australian Federation of Air Pilots, following a heated wage dispute.
In a statement, Rex's General Manager of Network Strategy, Warrick Lodge, said the airline sees strong recovery in those regional centres, and is dedicating considerable resources to meet the demand.
He said the improved schedules in the eleven regional cities across the country will see the airline operating more flights on their regional network than pre-COVID.
