The Eyre Peninsula has exceeded its 2025 visitor expenditure target by millions of dollars, years ahead of schedule.
Set as part of the State Government's Regional Visitor Strategy 2025, six of the state's tourism regions have surpassed their targets, with the Eyre Peninsula beating its target by $91 million over the last year.
Regional tourism makes up 60 per cent of SA's total visitor expenditure, up from 44 per cent at the end of 2019.
Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison, said in a statement, regional tourism is driving the recovery of SA's visitor economy, with 60 cents of every dollar spent on tourism in the state, spent in regional SA.
