Locals Encouraged to Nominate NAIDOC Award Candidates

Eyre Peninsula residents are being encouraged to nominate a candidate for the Premier’s 2022 NAIDOC Award.

The award is given to SA residents aged over 18, in recognition of their efforts to make a long-lasting difference in the lives of indigenous South Australians.

The NAIDOC Award ceremony also includes the presentation of the Dr Alice Rigney Prive, awarded to a young Aboriginal student in years 10 to 12 who’s shown persistent dedication and commitment to their learning at one of SA's state run Aboriginal schools or programs.

The award recipients will be announced in July during NAIDOC Week, with nominations close on Friday the 3rd of June at 5pm.
