The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network are holding a pop up jab clinic in Port Lincoln from today, allowing for people to get their vaccination without needing an appointment.
The clinic will be situated in the Harvey Norman complex until Saturday, allowing people to get their first or second jabs.
The region is over 80 per cent first dose, but the Lower Eyre Peninsula needs 1,700 people to get their second dose to get to 80 per cent.
Head of the Network, Verity Paterson says the more people are vaccinated against COVID, the less the virus is going to spread across the community.
"It'll get pretty much everywhere, it'll spread throughout our community and the more people that are vaccinated, the less it's going to spread and that also means, particularly for the people who can't get vaccinated or for those who are immuno-compromised, it's the way the community can go around and protect them," she said.
