Fox Bounty Could Net EP Farmers Hundreds

A new fox bounty has been set in South Australia to help remove 20,000 foxes, in a move that could net Eyre Peninsula farmers hundreds.

Livestock and poultry farmers can claim $10 per fox scalp with a max of 100 per property per collection day and a maximum of 300 per year.

On the Eyre Peninsula, the bounty collection dates are set on the 14th of October at the Cummins Showground and at the Kyancutta Soldiers Memorial Park.

The agricultural pest is estimated to have caused up to 227 million dollars in economic damage across Australia every year.
