The iconic Tunarama Ambassador Quest has returned ahead of the 2022 festival and to celebrate its 60th anniversary Tunarama has introduced a seniors quest.
The seniors quest is for locals over 50 who would like participate in the festivals festivities and raise money for a chosen charity.
The Tunarama committee is currently seeking entrants for both the traditional ambassador quest and the new seniors’ quest.
So far two official entrants have signed up with a potential of three more to join the including one male.
Tunarama Quest Coordinator Hazel Manning says the senior’s quest will be in line with the 18-50 quest.
“We have different functions they have to be involved with, they have to fundraise for their charity as well but I think it will be really interesting coz they will bring along their own expertise as they are older entrants.
“They can take on as much as an entrant would like and they can fundraise as much as they like. So they can do something every weekend or run raffles all the time or it depends on what they would like to do, so it's mainly up to the entrants about their involvement." said Hazel.
