Local parents and teachers are being invited to have their say on the national school curriculum with proposed revisions now open for public comment.

The review covers all eight learning areas, including English, Maths and Science, as well as general capabilities such as Critical and Creative Thinking.

CEO of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority, David de Carvalho, says they particularly want to hear from teachers in rural and regional schools.

“Look it's really important that we hear from rural and regional teachers from a range of school settings where their large or small we've had a range of teachers from those kinds of schools and those areas already on our teacher reference scripts who have been giving us input but now it's really an opportunity for the wider groups of teachers from rural and regional and remote Australia to give us their feedback.” Said David.
