Cotta SA will be visiting the Eyre Peninsula later this month for a free information session for those looking to access support and care.
The session will focus on providing elderly people within our community with all the information they need to access My Aged Care government support.
The session to be held on March 25th will give an A-Z run down My Aged Care and advanced care directives and is ultimately aimed at people who are older but also their family and support networks.
Cotta SA Country Programs Officer, Helen Morley says a large number of older people tend to struggle with the online platform, and sessions will provide a physical face-to-face opportunity for people to get the help they need.
“People find the system quite confronting and really this is and in a bit easier to understand language than engaging the systems that are about, help people understand a little bit better and help people to access what they need to actually really just get the ball rolling so that you can register with My Aged Care.”
The information session will take place at 10 am until 12 pm on March 25th at the Uniting Church Port Lincoln.
