A teenage boy has been arrested after he allegedly robbed a woman at Whyalla Stuart on Sunday morning.
Just after 6.30 am on Sunday 17 January, a woman was walking along Gum Street, when she was approached by the youth who produced a knife and demanded money.
The victim handed over a small amount of a cash, but the suspect demanded the woman's purse and mobile phone. The woman refused when a member of the public intervened and the teenage boy ran off.
Fortunately, the woman was not injured in the ordeal.
Whyalla Police investigating the incident, located the suspect on Monday 18 January,a nd arrested the 15-year-old from Port Augusta West for aggravated robbery.
The arrested boy was refused police bail and appeared in the Whyalla Youth Court yesterday.
