Whyalla Football Clubrooms Broken Into

Two teens were arrested yesterday after an investigation into break-ins at two Whyalla Football Clubrooms.

In the early hours of the morning on Friday, January 15th a football clubroom in Whyalla Sturt and another at Whyalla Norrie were broken into.

At the Whyalla Sturt clubroom, entry was gained and liquor was stolen from the bar area.

Police raced to the scene and chased two teenagers who got away on foot. Police searched the area but did not locate the suspects at the time.

At the Whyalla Norrie clubrooms, entry was not gained, however, a substantial amount of damage was caused.

Following an investigation, two teens aged 13 and 15 years both from Whyalla, were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage and theft. The 15-year-old boy was remanded in custody and appeared in the Youth Court today. The 13-year-old boy was bailed and will appear in the Whyalla Youth Court at a later date.
