Community groups are being encouraged to apply for funding through Round 6 of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities program.
The Stronger Communities Programme (SCP) provides grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 to community organisations and local governments for small capital projects that deliver social benefits for local communities.
Federal Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey says there are so many hardworking community groups across regional South Australia who are always needing more equipment.
The Stronger Communities Programme has committed funding to over 10,000 community–based projects across Australia.
In the 2020–21 Budget the Australian Government committed more than $22.65 million for a sixth round of the SCP with funding of up to $150,000 available for each electorate.
A maximum of 20 projects will be funded in each electorate.
Round 6 of the program will open on January 19th with Expressions of Interest to close on February 19th.
