The City of Port Lincoln and District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula is continuing to encourage dog and cat owners to stay up to date with microchipping and take advantage of the upcoming Chipblitz days.
The ChipBlitz will be held on Saturday, January 30th and Sunday 31st at the Ravendale Community Sports Centre with microchip appointments being offered for $10 per dog and cat microchipped.
Locals can book an appointment at the Chipblitz website and will be open from 10:20am to 5pm.
Mayor Brad Flaherty said, “Having your dog or cat microchipped can help Council staff to contact you if your pet happens to go missing.”
“Many cat owners are unaware of the requirement to have their cat microchipped and registered with the Dogs and Cats Online database.
