A prescribed burn is planned for tomorrow Wednesday, October 21st, in the west of Tulka with weather conditions permitting.
The burn, conducted by the Department of Environment and Water and the CFS, is expected to start at 10:30am and is likely to be completed by 10pm.
On SA Water land, west of Tulka 163.7 hectares will be burnt in effort to reduce the risk of bushfire impact on surrounding communities and to protect the surrounding landscape.
Locals can expect to see smoke, fire activity and aircraft resources in the area with aerial ignition to be used during the burn.
Prescribed burns will only be carried out when it is deemed safe to do so and may be cancelled at short notice.
