As of next month, locals will be offered up to $100 in travel vouchers to use for accommodation locally and across the state.
The vouchers, part of a $4 million dollar tourism stimulus package, aims to further boost the visitor economy and local jobs.
Vouchers of up to $100 will be available for participating CBD hotels and $50 vouchers for regional and suburban accommodation.
A range of tourism operators from 5-star hotels to cabins in caravan parks have already signed-up to be part of the deal.
Premier Steven Marshall says “This is a call for South Australians to continue to back the local tourism industry by rewarding themselves with a guilt-free ‘staycation’
Marshall said “The tourism and hospitality industry is a significant local employer and we are pleased to be able to support them through this voucher scheme.”
