This weekend the CFS will be running their Fiery Woman program for local women to learn the in's and out's of being bushfire ready.
The free workshop will run over two full days, Saturday and Sunday, September 19th and 20th from 9am - 5pm at the Coffin Bay Hall.
Community Engagement Officer Therese Pedler from the Port Lincoln CFS says the workshop will help women be bushfire prepared and explain the behaviour of fire.
"The firey women's program is the only program where we delve into the emotional preparation for bushfires and emergencies, and then what happens if a bushfire actually starts and how to put a fire action plan into place." said Therese.
