Compensation granted for Vic killers

Two Victorian convicted killers have successfully won thousands of dollars of compensation for jailhouse injuries.

The Herald Sun says Jonathan Horrocks, who gunned down Leon Capraro at the La Trobe University Eagle Bar in 1999, and Luke Wentholt, who killed Irish backpacker David Greene in 2012, are both set to receive windfalls of more than $10,000 each after claiming prison guards used undue force.

Both murderers sued the private security companies running the prisons.
