Major upgrades are planned next month for a key transport link through the Eyre Peninsula, between Whyalla and Tumby Bay.

As part of a $168 million national spend on road safety in South Australia, Lincoln Highway will undergo shoulder sealing, curve widening, safety barrier installation, hazard removal and Audio Tactile Line Marking.

To be completed in three sections – Whyalla to Cowell, Cowell to Lipson, and Lispon to Tumby Bay – the program of works will support around 305 full-time jobs over the construction period.
